Rest and Rainbows #atozchallenge #inthelockdown

In The Lockdown - Rest and Rainbows

When you wake up in the morning and there are rainbows all around.
I love rainbows. Rainbows for me are a signal of hope and good things.

I believe that there is a reason for everything. The lockdown has given Mother Earth time to rest and rejuvenate and given us time to reflect on our lives.

It has been interesting to note that the pollution levels all over the world have dropped. This has got to be refreshing for Earth, Nature and us.

Working from home has its advantages. As I am not commuting back and forth, it is definitely more relaxing and less tiring.

But I acknowedge that this must be a stressful time for many who have lost their jobs or face an uncertain future. Rest, relaxation and reflection might be far from their minds. My son is in this boat and it is quite stressful for him. Praying all of them will find appropriate jobs once the economies start to pick up again.

Today I leave you with this beautiful song by Louis Armstrong - a reminder of our wonderful world that we need to restore it back to its natural state.

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by ...

  1. Yes, we are very lucky to work from home. After 34 or 35 days of lockdown (I don't really count), we see much more birds, small and bigger animals where they were not used to be. Cities are quieter, and air is fresher. Now we see how badly we damage the Planet.
    Lovely song.

  2. Suzy, I love this song and every time I hear it my bosom fills with joy and hope. Though I am not working from home rather working at home, I hear you and indeed it is grace that we have our jobs intact.

Take care dear Suzy and may rainbows fill your heart and home always.

  3. I love rainbows and last week, I helped my grand daughter look for rainbows through a glass filled with water held against the sunshine.
And once again your choice of song was wonderful.... the deep baritone and uplifting words.

  4. They say there's treasure at the end of the rainbow. Let's never forget what a wonderful word it is.

  5. I don't think ever the world has been so quiet as it is now. A time for Nature to refresh itself.
