Hand sanitisers are the new gold. Just so hard to get. And gloves have become the new fashion statement (along with masks). Gloves are also hard to come by.
But these are our lifesavers.
So remember to sing the happy birthday song twice to wash hands thoroughly.
I look forward to the day when life returns to normal. When we don't have to worry about touching our faces or remembering to wear gloves when going out to do the simple usual things like grocery shopping.
I look forward to the day when we aren't worried that we have no masks, no gloves and no hand sanitisers.
Today I will leave you with this song which has been going around in my head. It is a great reminder to us of the value of the human race. The video reminds us of the changes in the way we are living and hope that we will soon heal the world, live without fear.
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
For you and for me

It’s strange how fashions change ! Who knows even after this pandemic people may still wear gloves and masks . Heal the world seems almost prophetic doesn’t it ?
ReplyDeleteWe have forgotten what it means to make the world a better place. All I can see around is greed and apathy. I hope we learn from this pandemic and try to be a better version of ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI started to follow an Asian American doctor on YouTube. He talks in a comprehensible way about the Corona virus. One day he was demonstrating how long to wash your hands while singing happy Birthday. His toddler daughter (whom he probably told not to disturb) started banging at this door. She wouldn't stop until he interrupted his video to help her out. People in the comments had a blast speculating "that poor girl heard he was having a birthday party without her - no wonder she kept knocking on his door!" ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy H today is about Swiss farmers' "Hofladen": https://thethreegerbers.blogspot.com/2020/04/a-z-2020-switzerland-hofladen-honesty.html
I too wish the world would become normal once again. For now I am in a pessismist mood. Will it become normal?
ReplyDeleteIt will heal, it will become normal, it will.
ReplyDeleteH is for....
How a basic thing like washing hands is the talk of the whole world!
ReplyDeleteWe can do it, we will make it, we will go over this. Stay safe and healthy.
