Gratitude List #36

I've missed doing these so getting back to my gratitude lists and linking up with Alphabet Salad's Gratitude list #36

So here is my list for today:

My Daily Thoughts:
  • I started a daily thoughts series on my facebook page Suzy's Ilation 10 days ago and I'm really enjoying this as it gets me to focus on positive thinking. And I've had some nice interactions too.

Timetable Clashes sorted:
  • Grateful that my son's timetable clashes were sorted by his lecturer so he doesn't have to change his subjects. Classic example of when you ask someone politely to resolve an issue, it gets resolved

Travel
  • Thankful that my daughter reached her holiday destination safely and that her partner's house wasn't affected by the floods

Healing
  • Thankful that my mother's leg is getting better

Appreciation
  • Thankful for appreciation on a project well completed
  • Thankful for awards presented by bloggers and that reminds me, I need to do a post on that.

So what are you grateful for today?

I was looking back on my gratitude posts like this one and quite intrigued that they get the lowest page views and comments. Is no one grateful for all the wonderful things in their life or interested in reading someone else's?

Have a great day and hope you all have a lot of things to be grateful for.

Warm Regards

Beaches

Written for Theme Thursday - Beaches

Sunsets, Sunrises,
The feeling of wet sand under bare feet
Bucket and spade
Sandcastles
The sound of the sea gently lapping the shore
Or the roar of the waves crashing on the beach
People walking at the edge of the water
Ice cream and bhelpuri
Palm trees and Coconut water
Camel rides and Pony rides
Bollywood movie shoots
Cricket matches
Collecting shells and watching the crabs scuttle across
Jumping in and out of the waves

These are some of my beach moments experienced over the years.

Warm Regards

Inspiration from Maya Angelou

There are times when I lose that writing mojo and I stare blankly at the prompts and nothing comes to mind.

Then there are days when someone rude turns up at my blog post and completely deflates my enthusiasm for writing.

And then I stumble upon a quote that encourages me to write again.

I wrote some of the worst poetry west from the Mississippi River, but I wrote.
And I finally sometimes got it right.
~ Maya Angelou

Notes to self:
The idea is to keep writing even when some days the inspiration is lacking and the posts are flat. And never mind the rude person, it takes all kinds to make a world and Maya Angelou would have simply brushed him aside.

Reminder to self (from my previous post)
Write from your heart and it's sure to touch someone else's.
