Some of my workmates who have children tell me that entertaining their children in the lockdown is one of their hardest tasks.
And those working from home are taking turns with their partners in keeping their children busy.
We are allowed to take a walk around the block as long as we keep our minimum 2 meter distance from other walkers. So to make it interesting and entertaining for the children New Zealand is playing the Great New Zealand Bear Hunt. The Prime Minister of New Zealand is also playing the teddy game.
I hope you enjoy my teddys. Both are looking at the scenery and contemplating life.
If you have children, how are you entertaining them?
Enjoy the Teddy Bear's Picnic - my mum sang this song to me when I was young and I sang it to my children. I can't help thinking that while we are in lockdown, the animals of the world are enjoying their freedom and having a picnic!
If you go out in the woods today
Be sure of a big surprise

This is such an adorable post. I showed this to my son. He wants a New Zealand teddy now. 😁
ReplyDeleteGreat game for kids! Your teddys are cute ;)
ReplyDeleteG is for Garden
So true... those animals must really be having a ball enjoying a normal environment without us intruding or harming them.
ReplyDeleteStrange just the other day my grand daughter had an assignment where where had to take things along on a picnic so I sang the Teddy Bears picnic song to her. Tomorrow I will show her this video clip.
ReplyDeleteNice one! I have a son. But he is no longer a child. So, this post sort of reminded me of his younger days.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing initiative, and that the PM is following it is simply more awesome!!
ReplyDeleteTrue, keeping small kids entertained isnt easy! Thank God, I have a grown up son :D
The great New Zealand Bear Hunt - what a wonderful activity! Love it :-)
ReplyDeleteAround here, families with children paint pictures of rainbows and write encouraging notes like "together we'll get though this" on it, then hang it somewhere so that passerbys can see it.
My G is für Grüezi, the common Swiss word to greet each other, and also for the Gotthard mountain pass.

We're doing that here too. We started Easter eggs too from the beginning of April. It does help the kids feel less isolated.
