Knowledge and my Kitchen window #atozchallenge #inthelockdown

In The Lockdown - Knowledge and my Kitchen window

the kitchen window provides a little entertainment in the lockdown.

Knowledge is power is a saying we often hear. And a lot of people think that knowledge kept to themselves gives them an edge over others.

But I have always believed that knowledge is power only if it is shared. And a friend expanded even more on that to reitereate that it's not just the sharing of knowledge that is powerful but what you do with that knowledge.

On the other hand knowledge kept to oneself can prove destructive.

I can't help feeling that if the knowledge of this pandemic had been shared earlier and governments had acted faster, we might have averted such a huge disaster.

I am grateful that my Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, disseminates information in a clear concise way. There is no sugar coating and no bs and no hiding.

Her sharing of knowledge of this pandemic and decisive and early action has helped to keep the spread low in NZ. May it stay that way.

Today I will leave you with this song written by George Harrison, one of my favourites. I am convinced that he and John Lennon could see the future. They wrote and sang some very insightful songs.

I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you

I look at the world ad I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps

this was a great tribute to George Harrison - my favourite version.

  1. Thanks for the Beatle’s treat . I completely agree with you that knowledge that is hoarded is of no use at all . It should be shared and well utilised .

  2. That's always been such a great song.
    Nostalgic.
    I agree about knowledge.
I in some way wonder if the people with knowledge were not listened to.

  4. What a shame the Beatles got disrupted way too early. One of my all-time favorites by John Lennon is "Imagine", oh, and "so this is Christmas".

As for knowledge, I think it's absolutely key to share and help others undertstand.

My K is for Kuhfladen, which translates as cow pie 😉
