Jobs and Juice #atozchallenge #inthelockdown

In The Lockdown - Jobs and Juice

My daily juice routine

Today the people who have lost their jobs are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today the people who had applied for jobs and never heard back because the pandemic hit us are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today the people who were looking forward to starting new jobs that were snatched away are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today the families who have lost their loved ones and have been left without a breadwinner are in my thoughts and prayers.

Even though things look bleak right now, I am praying that all of them may find a brighter future, that the economies of the world will pick up again and create jobs for all.

The future won't be as we want it to be or as it was before, but I am praying it is a future worth living for.

Today is Good Friday (on the day I write this). A day of prayer, reflection, rememberance and contemplation.

Today I leave you with this song that always lifts my spirits and gives me hope.

When I am down and oh my soul so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up, to more than I can be.

To all who feel the sadness, the burden and pain - may you find the strength to overcome.

  1. Oh yes, people around the world have lost their jobs amid the current pandemic and so many will be getting pay-cuts! Hope this crisis gets over soon and the economy gets back on track real soon!

  2. I hope too things will get better for all the people who need to. We are lucky enough in France to have a good social and health-care system, people who have nothing left are not left behind.
For a more cheerful note, I love your daily juice ;)

  4. You raise me up is such a wonderful song. I particularly like it sung by Josh Groban.

Let me join you in wishing people who are suffering confidence and strength.

Isn't it crazy how some people are totally overwhelmed in their essential jobs, and others sit at home, bored and worried?

    Happy Weekend :-)

  5. Thank you, Suzy. Someone whom I know closely, is on the verge of losing his job.
My hope is that before long the economy will begin to recover, and the jobs will all be back.
