Thought I'd be different today and post some quotes - let you all do the thinking.
Fame is damaging when people become reliant on it for their sense of self, and their identity, when fame is linked to how you see yourself.
~ Daniel Radcliffe
Wealth, beauty, and fame are transient. When those are gone, little is left except the need to be useful.
~ Gene Tierney
I sometimes wonder if the tragedies my family has suffered are a kind of karmic price for all the fame and fortune the Bee Gees have had.
~ Robin Gibb
Film is an illusion. Fame is ephemeral. Faith and family are what endure.
~ Emilio Estevez
Fame is what you have taken,
Character is what you give;
When to this truth you waken
Then you begin to live.
Character is what you give;
When to this truth you waken
Then you begin to live.
~ Bayard Taylor
Have a happy day.
Warm Regards

Happy to link up. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteLove that last quote!! Enjoyed your quotes on Fame :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn. Yes, I like that one too - it's quite profound.
DeleteYeah, I think it's pretty easy for all of us "normal" folk to sit around and fantasize about how cool it would be to be one of the famous folk, but there are a lot of trade-offs to go along with the riches and renown. I'd like to find a way to have just the riches, but still be my lowly, little-known self!
ReplyDeleteThere sure are Cheri. Fame gives the illusion of power and when harnessed in the wrong way can have devastating effects.
DeleteHow about this quote from Henry David Thoreau: "Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth." Sometimes we don't understand why someone is famous. But other times, these giants rise up to inspire us!
ReplyDeleteA great quote Beth. And so true - some famous people are inspirational. Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteSad to read Robin Gibb's quote. Fame does not seem to bring happiness in all things. I do not believe that suffering times are punishment for too many happy times.
ReplyDeleteHi Veronica, sometimes the price of fame very high. But in the end, I believe that all things in life balance out.
DeleteFound these quotes very interesting. Thanks for sharing them! :) <3
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Jessica. Glad you liked them.
