This song just popped into my head as I read this week's topic "Love Letters" at Blogging For Fun , so I had to share this with you.
Youtube - Engelbert Love Letters
Over the last 8-10 years I have penned down some poems / prose that just came to me usually in a dream or at the very moment I awoke in the morning.
So here is one of those that seems appropriate for this week's theme.
A love letter to my Soulmate
Oh my love, how do I love you?
I do not have the words to describe this
For my love transcends this physical world into karmic and spiritual realms
To dimensions in space and time that the mind cannot fathom nor indeed imagine
I loved you before, through the aeons of time
I love you now
And I will love you to eternity
For it is only your spirit that can make my soul dance.
With love

That should make someone very happy. It's a beautiful tribute to love.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo - I hope so. :)
DeleteWow! That song brought back memories! I loved Engelbert Humperdinck - back in the day. I parted with all my phonograph albums long ago, so have not listened to Engelbert in several years. I so enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Darlene - I loved EH too - youtube is a great place to listen to those old numbers.
DeleteGreat song and great poem!
