Hate Exercising? #vlog #chaiwithsuzy #SuzysIlation

This week I thought I would do a face to face and talk about a topic that you either love or hate - exercising.

Then as I started talking, my vlog morphed into something else as well that could fit in with a little manipulation of the prompt at Friday Reflections this week - Disconnected.

And all of it fit in really nicely with Denyse's prompt Takjng Stock - although her prompt means something else entirely, I'm taking the liberty of interpreting that as taking stock of life, of circumstances and taking appropriate action.

Confused?  Grab a cuppa and chat with me ...

I hope you enjoyed my vlog today and hope the tips made sense. If you have any tips of your own on the topics I chatted about, please share in the comments below.

  1. One tip that helped me is not to put unrealistic goals and take one step at a time.

  3. Being realistic always helps. The more realistic our goals, the higher is the probability of achieving them. Enjoyed the vlog.

    1. Thanks Reema. You are absolutely right, set your self a goal where the probability of achievement is high, then once you have achieved some of them, you can set yourself a little higher goal. Glad you enjoyed my vlog.

  4. Starting small and adding a little every day or every week always helps. I try and never miss a workout, and when I do miss a few days, I cut myself some slack. Great tips and perspective, Suzy!

    1. Thanks Damyanti. You summed up my thoughts well. Add a little progressively and it doesn't look daunting.

  5. Suzy! This is just what I wanted to hear. My 20 kgs are cemented on my body and all my resolutions go out the window before the time period I've set myself. I love this idea of a vlog and I think you do a great job with it. I do hope your weight goals are achieved though.

  6. Walking is my go to exercise, but I don't go and just do it! Life is busy and the last thing when I have free time I think about doing is exercising!

    1. Hi Alicia. Yep, exercising is the last thing on my mind when I have free time too. I love walking but the weather here is so unpredictible hence my cross trainer!

  7. I don't love to exercise, but it's something that I do anyway. I just consider it to be another one of those activities that simply need to get done, irrespective of whether we 'enjoy' it or not. Loved your video chat, you should definitely do more of these.

    1. Thanks Shanaya. I am trying to bring the 15 minutes each morning into my regular routine. So far so good. Glad you liked chatting with me..

  8. It's all about realistic goals as you say...because yes, you lose motivation otherwise. I love exercise but it's mainly strength training and yoga that I enjoy as opposed to cardio. And my other thing was to change my focus from weight to a healthy lifestyle and now, stronger.

    1. Thanks Sanch. Changing focus from weight to health is what I've done too - drops the stress of losing (or not losing) weight.
