Today's prompt for the Blogfest is hosted by Susan at Today's Working Woman
Last night I thought about this prompt and came up with a complete blank. And then on my way to work this morning, a little haiku started to form in my mind and then the verses just flowed. So here are some haiku verses on Insomnia.
Oh Insomnia!
No peace for my restless mind
Seeking some answers
Oh Insomnia!
Tired mind cannot relax
Sad exhaustion grows
Oh Insomnia!
Anxiety, thief of peace
That heightens my fear
Oh Insomnia!
In God I find my refuge
And sleep reigns once more
Warm Regards
I love a good haiku. You've written 4!! That is awesome. Great writing :) Cheers, Jenn.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn. Some days the thoughts just flow.
DeleteThat second haiku really resonates with me. It's brilliant to feel less alone!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat, yep the last few weeks I've had trouble sleeping and the daylight saving switch over doesn't help either.
DeleteTruly anxiety is the thief of rest - I hope you catch up on your sleep soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Corinne, we always forget that anxiety doesn't change our destiny - just keeps us restless and unearthed and yet we pursue it so vigorously. The weekends are great for catching up on sleep.
