Six Word Saturday August 25

Kiwi tucker - fish and chips tonight

It's been a while since we had fish and chips for dinner.  We used to have it every Sunday night.

Then one night the fish was very stale and tasted so bad. Put me off fish and chips for a while.

That Fish and chips shop closed down. Not surprised if they were selling stale fish.

Have a super Saturday and check out some other entries at Six Word Saturday

Warm Regards

  4. I google 'kiwi tucker' and am still not sure I understand....is it camping food, or cooking as though you were camping, or is it just economical food? Don't you just hate a bad fish taste - yuk!

    1. Hi Joanne, tucker is Australian and New Zealand (kiwi) slang for food. Oh yes, bad fish is just awful to taste.

  6. My Mother-in-law who was English always loved fish and chips. But since her family didn't really enjoy it, she only got to eat it when they went out! Bless her heart. I miss her so very much. She was such a delight to my life!

    Happy Saturday!

    1. Hi Linda - thanks for dropping by. Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. My granddad and my dad loved fish and chips too. I was very young when my granddad died but my dad passed away recently and I miss him so much. Fish and chips without him just isn't the same.

  8. Dropping in to say hello from Cate's. I love fish and chips but yes stale fish can make you turn off it quickly, we no longer have any close to us but when I go visit my daughter (an hour away) I try to get my fix in then.
    Happy Saturday. New follower/friend.
