Movement Creates Energy - #vlog #chaiwithsuzy #SuzysIlation

I missed a vlog last week as the film didn't turn out good and it got too dark to film again. But it was a good topic that Denyse had as a prompt - countries I have visited - and maybe one of these days, I will vlog on that again.

Today however, I will keep the vlog simple and talk about movement. It's a rare day when you can see the windmills so clearly and that triggered the topic for today's vlog.

It is said that the flutter of a butterfly's wings can cause a tsunami halfway across the world. All movement creates and shifts energy.

So grab a cuppa and enjoy the windmills and other movements of nature.

On my youtube channel:  https://youtu.be/sVW92loOIi0

This morning as I was going to work I observed that the closer I got to the city, my energy shifted. The hills and trees give off a different energy which is why I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated in nature. But the effect of concrete really did feel like stagnant and heavy energy.

Have you observed the shifts in energy from countryside to city? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Hope you enjoyed today's video and the message it gave.

  1. Very interesting observation, Suzy. I'm sure that it happens to me as well, I must observe more closely.

  2. Oo yes, there's a huge shift of energy between countryside, and city. I'm a country girl, I've always live in the countryside. Now a changed family situation forces me to move to Las Vegas next week..it sure is going to be very interesting. I can't even imagine what it will be like living in a big city.

    1. Thanks for visiting Maria. All the best with your move to Las Vegas. I've always been a city girl but the countryside appeals more and more as I get older. Vegas is a fun city.

  3. You’re quite right about getting energised in Nature’s company. We have this plot of barren land that we have to visit from time to time but even at the height of an Indian Summer, I get a different kind of energy boost when we go there.

    1. Thanks Sunita. I really enjoyed the city buzz especially in Bombay as a kid, teenager and young adult. But as I grow older I like the countryside more.

  4. What a great observation re your energy. I know I feel better when I am outside and looking beyond "my issues". Even the grass and the sky help me get back to balance.
Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week's optional prompt is My Hairstyle History. Denyse

    1. Thanks Denyse. I love the sky there's something about it that makes me feel peaceful and less stressed. So true that even the grass helps calm me. Will be linking up again for sure.

  5. Interested to see you "wind farms" - not sure what you call them - turning in the distance. These are a fairly new innovation to South Africa but we have a huge number of them springing up all around us. Thankful Thursdays returns

    1. Thanks Shirley. The wind farms are growing everywhere here too. Solar and Wind energy is growing in popularity here too.

  6. I have never seen windmills from close. Just once while we were travelling I had seen them.

  8. I'm with you re the shift in energy. As an aside, we stopped just outside of Wellington the other week as individual turbine pieces were brought in on mega trucks. These things were huge!

    1. Thanks for visiting Jo. Yes they are huge. The first turbine has become a tourist attraction here and it is massive.

  9. Loved the video - the trees swaying the the breeze and the windmills are absolutely gorgeous. About the energy - i think different places have different kinds of energy. Open spaces have a freshness about them while cities have a buzz because of all the activity that goes on. I love both. Most of all I like the change when I've had too much of one place.

    1. Thanks Tulika. Very true, some cities have a real buzz. I loved living in Bombay as a kid, teenager and young adult. There was something really magical about that city. But as I grow older, I like the countryside more. But you are right, a balance of both is best and change either way is always good.

  10. Wow! Loved watching the clouds sailing! That's one thing that fascinates me each time I see it on the screen.

And, yes, nature does leave me feeling fresher. That's the magic of nature!

  11. Beautiful video, Suzy!
That happens with me too. I feel caged sometimes closer to the city. :( Nature is beautiful and how I wish I could live far away from the hustle of a city.

    1. Thanks Parul. Nature is so refreshing. I work in the city but live out in the suburbs in the countryside.

  12. Ofcourse, my energy shifts from country to city. Nature and peace improve my energy levels. Noise, chaos and more people make me low.

  13. Hi Suzy! It is lovely to connect with you. At the moment we are living in two places - Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I definitely feel a change in energy when we go to the Coast. Within 10 minutes of being near the ocean I feel relaxed and calm. In saying that, as I live near the CBD, Brisbane has the beautiful river, Southbank Parklands and Botanic Gardens which I love to run through. Great to connect and look forward to following you. Have a great weekend!

  14. Seeing different energy is pretty cool and then to actually look at it on a deeper level is not something I have done.

    1. Thanks Natalie. I think we notice subconsciously all the time but feel it deeper when we bring it into our awareness. I know pubs drain my energy hugely. I can't sit in a pub for more than a half hour without needing to get out for some air.

  15. I can notice it sometimes especially the change in how I feel when I get closer to the beach or any water body as opposed to the middle of the city

    1. Hi Sanch. Very true, the middle of the city just seems to have heavier energy.

  16. I do love windmills. They're popping up everywhere around Canberra (I guess it's suitably windy). There is something very majestic about them. #teamlovinlife
