If I Could ... #vlog #chaiwithsuzy #SuzysIlation

This week I thought I would truly chat with you face to face.  I've been wanting to do this for a while now but didn't feel the need to and frankly didn't have the courage to. But today the need arose as I haven't finished editing my other videos. So without thinking too much, I got stuck into it.

Whenever I hear If I could, 2 songs come to mind: Cher's If I Could Turn Back Time and the Simon and Garfunkel's El Condor Pasa (If I Could).

So grab a cuppa and join me on a chat about turning back time.

on my youtube channel:     https://youtu.be/VePpR3mkXdM

Today's vlog wasn't easy and I had so many bloopers along the way - brain fades, bad lighting etc. I almost gave up but the option of not posting anything was enough of a catalyst to keep trying.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed chatting with me.

Today's vlog was prepared for #LifeThisWeek  Denyse, I hope I pronounced your name correctly. If not, my sincere apologies.

What would you do if you could turn back time?  Share in the comments below and have an awesome week.

  1. Nice to see a video log. One small thing - you may want to try to get the volume higher on the next one. I had to crank up my speakers all of the way to hear you. And right now, I don't think I'd change anything in my past, because it might change the good too :)

    1. Thanks Trent. I don't know how I can get the volume up as I am filming and editing on full volume. And it's very loud on my computer. I might have to try another editing software. But thanks for the feedback.

  2. If I could turn back time - I would do it all bigger than before. I agree about keeping the experiences I would just love them a little more.

  3. Hi Suzy,
I don't recall that we've met, so I wanted to make sure someone welcomed you to the coffee share. If you're already an established member, I apologize for this failing gray matter.

I'm not seeing a way to "like" your post. Maybe it's over on the YouTube side of things. Anyway, I did enjoy your post and thought the video log approach was interesting and unique.

But to answer your questions: I do have a few youthful bad judgements that I would like to redo and this time use better wisdom. In the "If I could" section, I would have kept a journal because life, for me got very interesting very often and normally I didn't recognize how important some events were going to be. I'd love to have a journal of most of my life. I also would like to have communicated better with friends and SO's much better. I was such an observer and too hesitant to share my thoughts or ask good questions along the way. If you have 10 minutes to pursue this with me, please check out:

You posed interesting questions though and I appreciate it.
I hope to meet you here again and tap some of this obvious wisdom you have.

    Warmest regards

  5. For some reason the video is not playing here, Suzy. I suspect it's my internet connection that is acting up. I'll be back to check the video again. I love S&G.
If I could turn back time, there's only one thing I wouldn't do - but it's done and I have faced the consequences of it and been supplied the grace to move forward.

    1. Oh that's too bad Corinne that you can't play the video. Yes, best to let go of the bad experiences and move on.

  6. Awesome job with the vlog. I only ever did that once. It wasn't easy. I think I like to hind behind the written words. If I could turn back time I would probably have more fun and stress less about what people think. Yep - that's what i'd do.

    2. What a lovely vlog that was . I agree with you about the events and experiences in our past making us what we are today. So why would I want to change anything?? And one question, how did you make this vlog ? Do you have a selfie stick or a stand for your mobile phone ?

    3. Thanks Sunita. Glad you liked my vlog. I have a tripod stand for my mobile phone.

  7. It was coffee on my blog today and chai on yours :) Lovely to see you and to hear you as well. I'm way too intimidated by the whole vlog thing, but always admire others who are brave enough to jump in.

  9. I have to admit appearing face-to-face live or via a vlog requires a lot of courage. I played the vlog but had a little bit of an issue with hearing as the sound was low and having a loud family in the background isn't being helpful in hearing it. I will come back again to watch and hear it.

    1. I came back as I promised. This time with my headphones to cut out all the noise :) I agree with you I wouldn't like to change anything that has happened because in that case I won't be the same person as I am who is content with the current life. Reliving good times and memories - this will be good. For today, If I could I would have liked the schools to be open and the husband's work place disallowing work from home option in order to have the whole house to myself.

  10. Yay for seeing and hearing you Suzy and you got my name right! Thank you for the mention. That was a lovely take on the prompt. In fact, they were the words that came to me too initially.
Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week's optional prompt is: Countries I Have Visited. Denyse x

    1. Thanks Denyse. Glad I got your name right. Unfortunately I missed the countries prompt. I had filmed the vlog but the film had some weird shimmer and I had to skip that week.

  11. Kudos to you for doing this vlog bit. It is not easy to come out and talk about many things on a video, I probably would never do it. As adorable as you sound on the video, the voice was pretty low. Maybe you can use a mic the next time?

    1. Thanks Soumya. I have tried to turn up the volume and it's very loud on my computer. Do you use headphones or the computer speakers?

  12. Hello Suzy,

For some odd reason the video would not open for me. Would have loved to hear you. But what a great way to take off with a vlog. Not sure when I’ll go that route. Admire you for keeping up with the tones.
    More power to you!
