Cherished Love


is my choice for C this week for ABC Wednesday.

And the choice stems from Write Tribe's prompt of 55 Fiction. This is my first attempt at 55 Fiction and I found it hugely challenging.




Calm and composed, she gazed at the clouds.
Confusion and turmoil carefully masked.
Crushing pain tearing her heart apart.
Crying was futile. He was gone, a charismatic young life cruelly snuffed out. "Why?" she silently lamented.
Closing her eyes she saw his captivating smile, felt his comforting arms. Memories bringing her joy.
Love cherished forever.

      Amazing to find someone here who is familiar with the good old 'Bombay' days!! ;) Now it is Mumbai and getting a facelift!!

      Thanks Corinne. Good to see a C move to an A. Though in NZ an A would translate to just a pass mark as in Achieved. Confuses everyone.

      oh lol Vidya, I had to give it a go. But yes, sadness and joy are great emotions for stories. Thanks for introducing us to the 55Fiction. Tough to do but I enjoyed it.
