is that which brings me peace and joy, makes my spirit dance. And of all the things that I thought of music stood out head and shoulders above the rest.
I love listening to instrumental music. It's so relaxing and soothing. My favourites are violins, piano and flutes.
Music also helps me meditate, particularly the flute. There is something hauntingly beautiful about the sound of the flute. It's melody is mesmerising.
There are days when I know my soul cries out for it. I think it's when Spirit wants to connect with me.
Music is definitely food for my soul.
Have a fabulous day
Warm Regards

I am not much into instrumental music , but on the days when I just want to relax or on the other hand concentrate on a project very near to my heart , I put on the instrumental music and listen as I work away :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sridevi. Instrumental music is very relaxing.
DeleteMusic soothes the mind and soul. beautifully captured:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vishal. Glad you liked it.
DeleteAn early example of this is in the Old Testament of the Bible. King Saul when he was unhappy would ask David to play his harp to help him soothe his soul. Read you on ABC Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanne for visiting. Music is so soothing. Thanks for the story of David.
DeleteNice choice for the F day!! The Indian bamboo flute or 'Bansuri' is very important in Indian classical music and Lord Krishna is traditionally considered as the master of this kind of flute. Simple instrument and beautifully lilting sounds!!
ReplyDeleteMy Post Is Here
Thanks Nanka. Lord Krishna's bansuri is the sweetest sound in the Universe.
DeleteI am married to a musician, and agree wholeheartedly with you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann. Glad you do. How interesting to be married to a musician.
DeleteVery beautiful music, Suzy! I also like André Rieu. You know he is Dutch, don't you?!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Wil, ABCW Team.
Thanks Wil. Yes I do know Andre Rieu is Dutch. He came to NZ sometime ago and I really wanted to attend his concert but the tickets were so expensive.
DeleteMusic is definitely food for soul for me. Not one day can pass by without listening to music. Beautiful !!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diana. Yes, me too - a day is incomplete without music.
DeleteThe flute is definitely one of my favorites, too, Suzy. My daughter and niece both played that instrument and provided the music for Danny's and my wedding. What a memory that is!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Oh how lovely Martha. The sound of the flute is so sweet. Blessings to you too my friend.
DeleteInstrumental music truly has the power to soothe and calm. I enjoy it too.
ReplyDeleteTrue Shilpa, It's so peaceful.
DeleteHow wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteFor me, its always the Violin or the Veena that soothes.
Sometimes, even drums, tabala or the Mridangam work wonders.
Yes, instrumental music is divine!
Thanks Mytakeoneverything. The Veena and the tabla is also beautiful. Music is truly divine.
DeleteI love music. It speaks to me and makes my soul soar! Love this!

DeleteYou might be surprised to know that I too love music. Or probably, you aren't!
ReplyDeleteROG, ABC Wednesday team
Hi Roger, Yes I do know that - particularly the Beatles. My favourite band too.
DeleteIndeed music has that power...coz I feel the same...very well written

Thanks Shellymona. Yes, music has the power to lift you to connect with Divinity. That's why I love it so much.
DeleteMusic is the soul of life. Very nice, Suzy! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kajal. It certainly is for me. :)
DeleteI am crazy about the saxophone and tabla, Suzy. But I enjoy all kinds of music. Food for the soul, yes. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vidya. Yes, I love the tabla too and the saxophone is great too. All musical instruments are beautiful that's why an orchestra sounds so grand.
DeleteLovely take on the theme
ReplyDeleteThanks Magiceye.
DeleteMusic ministers to my spirit also. I'm a member of our church's worship team and it is always so refreshing to my soul to sing and listen to the music.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Hi Ann. I love that it refreshes your soul - that is exactly what music does.
DeleteI agree. Music is definitely food for the soul. Carver, ABC Wed. Team
ReplyDeleteThanks Carver. Glad you think so too.
DeleteWordless music, the instrumental, is something out of this world. It says so much, yet it leaves so much unsaid... :) Take Care Suzy.. God Bless you
ReplyDeleteThanks Bhavya - instrumental music is very meditative. Sometimes words are just not necessary.
DeleteI typically prefer silence when working, but I agree about the flute:) Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteThanks Talya. Yes the flute is a beautiful instrument.
