Peace? definitely not the way today
Today is the first day of Spring in New Zealand and the day started out absolutely beautiful and serenely quiet. Peace was the way, or so I thought.
Obviously my neighbours have other ideas.
I have one blasting out his music so loud that even though he's 3 houses away and all my doors and windows are shut, I can still hear the dreadful stuff loud and clear.
Another one has just started up his lawn mower and the planes are flying above as it's the Southerlies blowing today.
Even the birds are protesting with loud chirping.
Here's hoping all of you are having a peaceful day and let's hope soon peace will be the way today for me too.

Amen. I am sure you felt a little peace flow inside you after writing this. "Better out than in", Shrek says. May peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tikulicious. Actually it felt real good venting a little - better out than in is so true. It's quiet and peaceful again - the planes aren't flying overhead, the music and lawn mowers have stopped and the birds are asleep.
DeleteDear Suzy,
ReplyDeleteYour day started very much like mine. The sun is shining, there is no one about...just me and my random thoughts. I am sure it will all change in a few hours. You can always escape your surroundings, at least for a little while, by linking up to Blog Hop Saturday! At least there, you can take your time and relax (lol). You may enter any 2 links. Linky will open at 9:00am my time, in about an hour from now. Hope you can make it!
Hi Andy, peace reigns again - for a little while anyway and I am savouring those moments. On my way to the blog hop!
DeleteSo sorry about your neighbors, but on the good side, hooray for you, beginning spring today! Spring and summer are my most favorite seasons!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. Yes I am glad the Winter is over.
DeleteSpring sounds nice! Soon it will be fall here...and I love fall.
ReplyDeleteIt's the heat of the summer and the cold of winter that I don't care much for.
Hope you are having a nicer Sunday...after such a noisy beginning to your Saturday!
Linda @ Truthful Tidbits
Thanks Linda, yes my Sunday was more peaceful and quiet than the noisy Saturday. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your day.
DeleteOh dear, sorry you did not have a peaceful day.
ReplyDeleteThanks LindyLou. A few times a month, he decides to entertain the whole neighbourhood.
Delete:-) that's the price we pay for living in a city.
ReplyDeleteSo true Janu. I complain, but I love where I live.
