Introducing my Poetry blog

I've always wanted to start a poetry blog as I've been writing poems for a few years now.

Most of my poems come to me in dreams or in sudden flashes of inspiration.

These are the poems of my soul.

When writing or thinking of my poetry, the words of this song always come to mind for they ring true for me:

I am a truthful man from the land of the palm trees.
And before dying, I want to share these poems of my soul.

My poems are soft green.
My poems are also flaming crimson.
My poems are like a wounded fawn seeking refuge in the forest.

The last verse says:'Con los pobres de la tierra'.
With the poor people of this earth I want to share my fate.
For the streams of the mountains please me more than the sea.

Please check out my new blog Reflections of my soul. Thanks.

And enjoy the song Guantanamera

100 Words - Closed Doors

The Lord has trampled and pulverised me,
pulled the rug beneath my feet,
erased every path,
thrown me into darkness,
closed every door.

Then when all is lost,
your spirit broken,
a light shines,
a window opens,
a path shows up.

But fear and doubt make you turn away
You break down that closed door,
to walk the old path.
The cycle repeats again.

Then your weary soul
urges you to surrender to His will,
to walk His path
with love, faith, courage, strength

And slowly you learn
that when He closes a door
somewhere He will open a window.

This post explains my 6 word memoir so this prompt was very timely and very apt.

6 Word Memoir

This month's Blogplicity challenge inspired by Corinne at Everyday Gyaan is to write a 6 Word Memoir.

Thanks Rimly for introducing my blog and handing over the challenge to me.

Writing a 6 word memoir seems like a simple task but oh how wrong was I. It took a good 10 days (and lots of experimenting with words) to find the perfect 6 words that truly denote a sense of me and my life, and I needed to feel them in my soul. I also wanted to bring out my Indian side so that made the challenge even harder.

But eventually the 6 words came to life, my heart smiled and I could feel Heaven nod in agreement.

So here is my 6 word memoir ....

Following Universe's flow with Bhakti and Shradha

Bhakti = heartfelt devotion and love for the Divine
Shradha = unconditional, unquestioning, absolute faith in the Divine

Pacific Ocean

Would love to read your 6 word memoir, so please share in the comments section.

And tomorrow please check out Karen Brunner's at Finding your fire where words have power!
