#MicroblogMonday - Writing Resolutions for 2015

I no longer make any resolutions as the Universe has a mind of its own and invariably overrides my resolutions.

So many times an exasperated Universe has said to me, okay then go pursue your own course but be prepared for the U turn.

So instead I choose a word or a theme for the year and this year it is Serendipity.


Where will that lead me in terms of writing, who knows. But then isn't that half the fun?

The year has started off serendipitously as I am the first featured poet for 2015 at Poet's United. My interview with Sherry Blue Sky is at Poet's United - Life of a Poet Suzy Que.

      Thanks Naba. True that things are often not dropped into our laps and effort is required. The idea is not to force the issue.

    That's a lovely and meaningful word, Suzy. I too am not in resolutions, but I am not so sure about picking a word for the year either. I would like to be surprised, let's say :)

    I LOVE your word. Within it is contained hope, adventure, chance and exploration! What else would you need? I also admire the fact that you have no resolutions. High five! Neither do I :)

    That's a wonderful word.
    Make sure when/if you ever visit New York, that you go to the restaurant Serendipity III. Yummy food!

    I like the idea of recognising serendipity. What I do is to ask that I can handle whatever comes to the best of my ability, keeping the needs of all concerned in mind.
