Why I Write

"When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy" ~ Rumi

I write to share the insights of my soul and hope that someday somewhere someone will feel that river of joy move in them.

I write because I can connect to other worlds and live my dreams through my words.

I write so that I can chronicle my life and perhaps someday I will come back to my posts and live some moments again.

But most of all I write because when I do, I feel that river of joy moving in me.

    1. Thanks Ava - I think if we didn't like writing we just wouldn't be able to do it.

I loved the line - "I write because I can connect to other worlds and live my dreams through my words." could relate very well to what you have said.

  6. I love Rumi and the way you have connected your reasons to write with that great quote by Rumi, is just wonderful.

I guess the reasons why we write overlap as well as interlink with each other's.

And yes, as Richa has mentioned, reading you sends a river of joy through us.. :)

  8. My dear Suzy,... loved your reasons and it is so true, writing records thoughts on a minuscule level, trivial and sundry... writing keeps them alive and when we come back to it, and remember the feelings are just inexplainable...
