My sacred space is where I feel a connection to Spirit and the beauty of not having any preconceptions about it is that it can be anywhere.
I am truly blessed that I can shut out the world whenever I want to. Even with noise all around me, I can move into my sacred space.
Reading spiritual books, listening to devotional music anywhere, mantra chanting while doing my daily yoga, singing, quietly watching the hills or walking in nature, watching my favourite mythological Indian TV shows - these and others are my meditations and hence they are my sacred spaces.
Warm Regards

ReplyDeleteWe sure do Janu. When we can go within, we can go anywhere.
DeleteLovely, Suzy. Great picture too to go with your sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Corinne. Pic taken from my dining room. Great topic Corinne.
DeleteWhat a beautiful photo and sentiment. Indeed. I like to think about everything I do, every place I am, everyone I meet, as sacred.
ReplyDeleteThanks Galen. So true, everyone, every place, all we do is sacred. Lovely thoughts.
DeleteA special spot!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caro - it sure is.
ReplyDeleteLoved this! We actually have quite a few similar activities that we both do in our sacred places. I also engage in spiritual reading, chant and do yoga. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica. 10 years ago I never would've associated these as my sacred spaces - life has changed for me now.
DeleteHow wonderful that you can be connected with your Spirit anywhere you are, Suzy. Love the quote you shared, too! :-) God bless! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Irene. Glad you liked it. Blessings to you too.
DeleteWe all should have a sacred place like that. I have conversations with god in my sacred place. Listening to soothing music is another sacred place for me where all the other noises dim. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rimly. I have many conversations with God too. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteI agree with you Suzy. A sacred place is within each us no matter where we are. We only have to open our hearts and minds to be in tune with the miracles of life. I stop myself from the 'auto pilot' and take deep breathes and pray. I like this reminder! have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret. My sacred spaces are what keeps me sane in the world of today. Enjoy your day too.
DeleteWell-said. Any place can be a sacred place if one desires so. And preferably, that place should be far away from the computer!
ReplyDeleteThe picture fits the sacredness completely, Suzy.
Joy always,
Susan
Thanks Susan. It's a peaceful scene each morning that I wake up to.
