What's the Time Mr Wolf?

There was a time when I could have confidently said I am a morning person. Getting up early in the morning was a piece of cake but staying up late at night was a Herculean task.

But now I no longer know as I seem to do both with ease or not just depends on the time of year. In Winter waking up early and staying up late seems near impossible. Yet in Summer my eyes open up before the alarm goes off and sleep eludes me until late at night.

Perhaps my body is tuned in to circadian rhythms or perhaps I was a bear in a previous life. I think bears have got it right; hibernating in Winter seems like the perfect thing to do.

So what's the time Mr Wolf?  Share your time of day.

  1. Oh, I'm with you on the desire to be a bear and hibernate for the winter - that would be awesome!

  2. Here in England, it is mid-morning. I woke at the same time--7am. I get very tired by 10pm unless a great movie has captured my attention. I'm a creature of habit, no matter what the season.

  3. It's 4 pm here in India... Well, I don't like waking up early at all, be it summer or winters...But unfortunately I have to..I absolutely dislike early morning flights for precisely the same reason...I can stay awake on weekends or on holidays because I love knowing that I have the luxury to wake up late if needed...

  4. I can do both depending on the need of the hour. Though sleeping late comes more easily than waking up early at ungodly hours :D

  5. I'm a real night owl but life doesn't often let me follow my natural instincts - the truth comes out on holidays!

  6. I always aspire to wake up early and generally manage, because I feel the hours go waste if I spend them sleeping :) Somehow, taking a nap during the day when required seems easier. Bears are smart, though.

  7. I'm wondering if it's a midlife thing, Suzy. I too used to be an early riser, but I struggle these days. I've decided not to pressure myself and just go with the flow!

  8. I love to sleep in and I do a lot of sleeping in during the summer. When school starts for the kids, that is when my days get a whole lot longer because I get up at 5:30 am and usually stay up till midnight or after. Although, at some point during the day I crash for a power nap.

  9. Suzy as you said, sleep pattern changes with age. In my younger days I could sleep late and could not ger up early. Now I cant sleep after 5 am.

  10. I try to take it easy. Generally, I wake up early, but sometimes I keep hitting the snooze button.

  11. Oh I hear you about winter! It's so hard to wake up early...even though I'm awake, I struggle to get out of bed. Summer is a different story. Or even now...I love that it's brighter for that little bit longer. Can't wait for summer...

  12. It's almost 10 o'clock. It means the kids are in bed and I am getting my daily dose of peace and quiet. Which means sometimes staying up too late. It's almost day light savings time and they are waking earlier in the morning, so the late nights are starting to seem like less of a good idea!

  13. The only reason why I was always running to the office during winter... can't wake up. As it's getting warmer these days my colleagues are surprised I am in the office even before them. Oh how I wish we could too hibernate.

  14. I have always been a night person. And in fact even now getting up early in the morning is a thing dreams are made up of. But I believe being a morning person is more productive and healthy. So I do not practice what I preach, like all good human beings :D

  16. I can wake up early, but like to snuggle for a while before I get up... And if I can choose, I sleep later than I usually can on week days... Really more of a night owl...

  17. Winters tend to make us lazy I guess. We all love snuggling in our warm blankets. :)
