Five Minute Friday - Wait

Last night I started writing this post and my mind went blank. No inspiration, no thoughts, the fingers on the keyboard stood still.

So instead I decided to wait and watch what thoughts emerged overnight and if in sleep my mind found some inspiration.

Then this morning I woke up with the thoughts of sharing some words that will inspire. Again I sat and pondered over what words I could share.

And then when nothing comes to mind, I turn to Him for my inspiration. And my mind turned towards my Bhagavad Gita deck. Words from above, from the Divine Himself. What could be better. And so I will share the words that He wants us to hear today.

All good things come to those who wait. So often we are impatient and do things rashly. I think if I was determined to write the post last night I might have written one that just didn't feel good for me. In waiting I found, for myself at least, the perfect post.  So well worth the wait.

I hope the words I will share will inspire some of you.

~ Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita

Yoga in this context is spiritual practice

  2. I find it interesting that sometimes when we think we have nothing to share, the words somehow make their way onto the page...and yes, sometimes eventually! ;) <3

    1. Thanks Elly. Sometimes we have to just sleep on it and see what emerges.

  3. From the point of view of a person who has just broken free from the dreaded 'writers block' after a fortnight, I totally agree! So often, I am tempted to just start posting for the sake of it but I keep stopping myself... I dont want to be that guy who writes randomly just to make up the numbers

  5. Modern man does rush at things too fast. To wait is difficult for most. Yet, in our stillness, we overcome our own impatience.

  10. Waiting is something I've learned to do more peacefully and calmly over the years. I trust God to give me exactly what I need in His good time.
