UBC Jul 23 - Crossing Bridges

Ultimate Blogging Challenge  and  NaBloPoMo - Day 23

Don't cross a bridge till you reach it

A lot of times we worry for no reason at all. Our minds go into overdrive and we start to imagine all kinds of scenarios. All the what ifs start to rear their ugly heads. In reality a lot of times, the scenarios that we conjure up in our minds are truly imagination and nothing else.

I am guilty of that too. But I keep reminding myself that there is no point in crossing a bridge that I haven't reached yet as I may never reach that bridge, or if I do reach it, I really don't know what kind of bridge it may turn out to be. In fact it might be a really easy bridge to cross

Don't cross a bridge till you reach it. Save yourself from needless worry and fear.

Enjoy your day.

Warm Regards

  1. This was my Mom's favourite phrase. She used to say.. Lets cross the bridge as and when it comes. We forgot to draw the line between planning and over-planning. Worrying is the result of over-planning.

  2. I am guilty of that and worry too much about life. We need to take light and brings the question, 'What's success?" Is it ambition, money or plain happiness. I'll choose the latter:)

  4. Very true. I know this very well but yet, put myself in such spots more often than I imagine. Hope this sinks in when I find myself in such a situation the next time. Nice blog by the way :)

  5. I used to worry a lot. Now, I wait and watch. How different my outlook has become and how much calmer. All thanks to my Guru, who keeps my faith grounded in His teachings. Lovely thought for the day, Suzy!

  7. I have started practising this thought. And it makes life a lot more easier and enjoyable when we live one moment at a time.
