100 Words - Sacred Spaces

My sacred space is where I feel a connection to Spirit and the beauty of not having any preconceptions about it is that it can be anywhere.

I am truly blessed that I can shut out the world whenever I want to. Even with noise all around me, I can move into my sacred space.

Reading spiritual books, listening to devotional music anywhere, mantra chanting while doing my daily yoga, singing, quietly watching the hills or walking in nature, watching my favourite mythological Indian TV shows - these and others are my meditations and hence they are my sacred spaces.

  5. What a beautiful photo and sentiment. Indeed. I like to think about everything I do, every place I am, everyone I meet, as sacred.

  6. Loved this! We actually have quite a few similar activities that we both do in our sacred places. I also engage in spiritual reading, chant and do yoga. :)

  8. We all should have a sacred place like that. I have conversations with god in my sacred place. Listening to soothing music is another sacred place for me where all the other noises dim. Lovely!

  9. I agree with you Suzy. A sacred place is within each us no matter where we are. We only have to open our hearts and minds to be in tune with the miracles of life. I stop myself from the 'auto pilot' and take deep breathes and pray. I like this reminder! have a wonderful day!

  10. Well-said. Any place can be a sacred place if one desires so. And preferably, that place should be far away from the computer!

The picture fits the sacredness completely, Suzy.

    Joy always,
    Susan
