Blogfest - Living my dream

The prompt "Are you living your dream?" is hosted by Corinne from Everyday Gyaan

When I was very little, I had this belief that each of us had an angel looking after us. No one actually ever told me this, it's  just something that I just knew - don't  know how! And I believed that our life was the angel's dream. Everything the angel dreamt would be occurring in our lives. And if we have that close a connection with the angel, then from that perspective I'm definitely living a dream.

Then many years later when I started seeking some spiritual answers, my belief changed to one where I now believe that we are born to live this life.  We are born to experience many things that are growth and realisation for our soul. We do make choices but ultimately we are led to our pre-determined destiny. This is the life we have agreed to live. And hence on that basis, again I believe that I am living my dream.

This place is a dream. Only a sleeper considers it real. Then death comes like dawn, and you wake up laughing at what you thought was your grief.

~ Rumi

Are you living your dream? Please share your thoughts.

Wish you all dreams come true.

  2. Like you, I believe angels watch over me, however, I love how you spin we are an angel's dream.
As I grow, I too believe we are meant to live a certain kind of life; and if we veer off the path, it is righted for us.
    Great inspirational thought.. love it!

    1. Thanks Peggy. When I was little I always prayed that my angel would keep dreaming beautiful dreams. And yes, so many times I've felt that hand just nudge me onto the path I'm meant to walk. (and sometimes it's one hard shove as well). Thanks so much for dropping by.

    1. Hi Bindu, I think it would be too hard to live life without the comfort of Divinity.

    1. Thanks Jenn. When I was little, I could feel the presence of Divine entities around me particularly at bedtime. It was the most blissful feeling. My parents never had any problems packing me off to bed.

  6. Our angels do watch over us - call them what we may. If we acknowledge the presence of the Divine in our lives, it makes life that much easier and dreams so much more real!

    1. Hi Corinne, that is so true, I think without the presence of the Divine, we would be lost souls. The Lord is my shepherd. Incidentally Psalm 23 is my favourite from the Bible.

    1. Thanks Adelia. Dreams are for real. I think the day we stop dreaming, life ceases to exist. Thanks so much for the visit.
